Extended Project Qualification

This is an A/S qualification, which is marked to A2 criteria, and is therefore graded up to A*. A student is expected to produce a 5000 project on any subject or topic of interest. It does not have to be in written format: it could be a film, a play, music, dance etc. Students are graded on the skills they have shown throughout the Project, rather than simply on the Project itself. A student is also expected to complete a presentation to a panel of staff, explaining their project and the journey they have been on.

The course represents a significant opportunity for Year 13 students to enhance their Personal Statements, and is looked upon extremely favourably by university entrance officers. We strongly recommend all Year 13 students to consider it.

It should be appreciated that this is a time consuming and demanding qualification, and as a result there are criteria attached, which students must meet, in order to be accepted on to the course and to continue through it.
