All staff and students are registered library users. We don't use library tickets. Just bring your chosen books to the counter for issuing.
Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 may borrow 2 Fiction and 2 Non Fiction books at a time. Students in Years 10-13 may borrow 2 Fiction and 4 Non Fiction books at a time. The loan period for all books is 2 weeks. Please bring you books back within that time; other people may be wanting to use them.
The library has a growing stock of DVD titles, including all Shakespeare's plays, available for 3 night loan.
Students who fail to return loans within the 2 week loan period will be sent reminders; if the loans are not returned within another week, a second reminder will be sent and the group tutor will record this in the student's planner. If a third overdue reminder is not responded to, the Year Head will be informed, and eventually a bill will be sent home requesting payment for items not returned.
Libraries work on co-operation and respect for the needs of others. We expect people visiting the library to show consideration for people studying here. Break times and lunchtimes can be busy, but if you choose to use the library, you are expected to behave as you would in a lesson.
