Parent Teacher Association

All parents are encouraged to join the Parent Teacher Association, which works imaginatively and tirelessly on behalf of the school and raises extra money to enhance students' opportunities.  The Association also takes an interest in other aspects of school life and your active support would be welcome!  This is your school and your help is greatly appreciated.

Whether you are new or longstanding parents of the school, please do come along to one of our meetings and bring your friends / other parents - this would not place you under any obligation to become a member.  We look forward to seeing you!

Next Meetings 

IGS PTA warmly welcomes all parents to our meetings held in the school library at 7pm.  The last meeting for the academic year 2009-10 was on Tuesday 8th June.

Dates for Academic Year 2010-11 will be published here as soon as they are confirmed.

Feel free just to come along to our meetings and find out how we as parents can help provide our children with the extra facilities that can improve and enhance their school life.

Car Boot Sales

These are very popular and well attended and we look forward to seeing you and your families next Summer whether as helpers, sellers or even buyers. 

Prices are as follows:

CARS/SMALL VANS    £10
CARS WITH TRAILERS/LARGE (TRANSIT SIZE) VANS    £15
HORSEBOXES/LORRIES/LARGE PITCHES    £25

The remaining PTA Car Boot Sales this year are booked for Sundays:

• 4^th July
• 18^th July

The car boot sales start at 7.30 am at the school field on Coutances Way.

Annually, these make the school round £8-10,000, but we need your help if we are to continue to run them.

Please see if you can offer even 2 hours on one of the rotas between 7.30 - 2.00 in the kitchen on marshalling for one or more of the Car Boots. It really is a case of 'many hands' - and it's good fun with a real benefit to the school - and your children.
